Buses 53 and 453 go from the flat straight into town giving you the tourists views as you pass the London Eye; go over the Westminster Bridge; roll past Big Ben; Parade through Whitehall, passing the Prime minister's residence on Downing Street; semi-circulate Trafalgar Square; all before heading up to Piccadilly Circus, trough Regent's Street; cross Oxford Street before your ride on this London bus comes to an end :o)
6. Despite the fantastic location, your room faces a peaceful garden.
7. The building is a unique mansion block from the late 1800s.

House rulesIn general this is a great place to live. To keep it as such all guests need to follow the following rules for their own comfort:
Guest may use the kitchen on the following conditions:
They wash up all dishes, cutlery, pots and pans
They clean the cooker, hob, all work surfaces and table
They sweep the floor or any crumbs.
They return all utensils to their original place.
They put all rubbish in the bins at the entrance to the building.
Guests are asked to leave the shower in a clean and fresh state.
Guests are asked to leave the toilet in a hygienic and fresh state.
Guests are asked to wear house shoes in the bedroom and the rest of the house.
Guests are asked to reframe from playing music before 10am and after 10pm.
Guests are reminded that smoking is not permitted in any part of the property. This includes the bedroom and smoking at the bedroom window. Anyone found to have smoked in the property will be asked to leave.
Guests are asked to remove all litter and rubbish from their room at least once a day.
A deposit of 100 GBP is required.

The apartment is as shown and has two bedrooms, a lounge (2 more people can sleep there), a kitchen and a bathroom. It was clean and comfortable and the area was very quiet. It is near to the centre and easy to be in the touristic spots. A good stay for a few days in London. Recommended!
Very recommendable place: clean and peaceful. Near station and good bus links. All as Sidney described. Good Price, good cleanliness, baths and kitchen cleaned daily. The bed was comfortable. The wifi was fast. We will come back.
The room was simple, but clean. When we stayed the other rooms were not occupied, so we had the apartment to ourselves. Sidney always gave good informations and instructions before we arrived. We often seen the cleaner in the morning, who was always friendly. We found that getting to the centre on train was fast. We also used the 24 hour night bus to get home late at night. The price was fantastic!
We had a great experience at Sidney’s place. Sidney gave very detailed information so that we had no trouble finding it. The apartment is large and old, but nice and cosy at the same time. Our room was the biggest. Everything worked well and the transport links were really good. We would recommend everyone who is planning to visit London to stay at Sidney’s place.
De woning is erg vies en verouderd. Aan de linkerkant van de voordeur stond een oud bed. Aan de rechterkant 2 fietsjes van de buren. Je kon er slecht langs. De keuken was te vies voor woorden. Knoppen die kapot of er niet aanzaten. Het fineer op de deurtjes zat los. Een elektriciteitskast boven het aanrecht zat niet op slot. Er waren 2 steelpannetjes en 1 kleine bakpan voor het koken. Er waren veel soorten oude borden. De verwarming kon niet aan (koud gehad) en het kastje in de keuken gaf aan dat deze ook uit stond. Het toilet was nog erger dan de keuken. Een slot in een kapotte piepende deur. Er lag stof in de verwarming van ongeveer 3 jaar. Er was geen toiletrolhouder waardoor de toiletrol elke keer op de grond lag. De leidingen van de verwarming zijn verroest en zitten onder de stof. De schoonmaakmop stond in het toilet. Deze gaf een hele vieze muffe lucht af. In de badkamer hangt een lamp zonder afgesloten kap. Ook hier waren de leidingen verroest en de kitlaag in de toilettafel vies. In de kamer was de kachelafvoer afgeplakt met een stuk papier. Omdat wij met zijn 3tjes waren moesten wij 45,-- per nacht extra betalen. 45,-- voor een matras op de grond. SCHANDALIG. Voor 4 nachten 405,-- euro moeten betalen.
Ik schrijf deze mail zodat er iets aan de woning gedaan wordt zodat nieuwe bewoners in een netter en schoner huis komen. Op deze manier zou het huis NIET verhuurd mogen worden !!! In de omschrijving stond elke dag een schoonmaker. Wij hebben niemand gezien ???

Sidney and Bel were really lovely. It was a pleasure to stay at there place and hang out with them. The flat was nice and very convenient and practical. The buses, which run close, run straight to the centre and there is also a tube station near the apartment. There are lots of restaurants and shops around. I would go back every time.
The apartment was as show in the pictures. It was comfortable and warm. The location was good enough for us to get easily to the centre. There were plenty of shops and eateries on New Cross Road. Our stay was much cheaper than a hotel!
We had a great time in London and enjoyed our time at Sidney’s apartment. Sidney gave us detailed and well explained instructions on how to find and get into the apartment. The property was in a good location with buses outside and the tube station five minutes away. We also had a very big supermarket five minutes away. We thought that the property was well maintained and we saw the cleaner every day. When we lost our key, Sidney came straight over to open the door and give us a replacement. We would definitely stay here again.
We really enjoyed our stay in Sidney’s apartment. We had two bedrooms which were well sized and had all the amenities we needed. It was a short walk to the station and there were also many buses close by. Getting to the centre was easy. The quality/price ration was very high. I would highly recommend this apartment.
